Mogno

The MOGNO group is responsible for the management and operation of the MOGNO micro and nanotomography beamline of the synchrotron light source Sirius, at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS).

MOGNO is an X-ray imaging beamline specialized in zoom-tomography, where a specimen can be studied at low and high-resolution. In addition, MOGNO will be dedicated to time-resolved experiments (4D tomography) through in-situ experiments, where a material can be observed under specific conditions.

The team of researchers and technicians is responsible for commissioning the beamline and assembling the necessary instrumentation for performing the experiments. They oversee users’ training for sample preparation, pre-characterization, operation of the beamline, data collection, processing and quantification.

Mogno Beamline

The Mogno beamline is dedicated to obtaining three-dimensional images of different materials, in multiscale, in a fast, non-invasive way.
