BACK

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) maintains a structure with open facilities serving the science and technology communities, both Brazilian and foreign. The LNLS has a highly sophisticated infrastructure that can be used simultaneously by several research groups and operates 24 hours per day.

The LNLS has its own team of qualified professionals, capable of providing technical knowledge in the use of a synchrotron light source to researchers from every field even without prior knowledge.

Each year, the LNLS facilities are used by about 1,200 Brazilian and foreign researchers, committed to more than 400 studies resulting in approximately 200 papers published in scientific journals.

PROPOSALS BY EXTERNAL USERS

In 2015, the open facilities at LNLS enabled the execution of 409 research proposals of external users.
