The event will take place from November 6th to 9th, at the CNPEM campus in Campinas, SP

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory 28th Annual Users’ Meeting (RAU) will take place from November 6th to 9th, 2018, at the campus of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas, SP. In addition to the standard program, the 28th RAU includes 3 different satellite meetings.

The Annual Users Meeting (RAU) brings together researchers using the infrastructure of the LNLS to conduct their research in order to evaluate scientific results and discuss issues relevant to the development of the institution.

The RAU aims to promote discussion, exchange of experiences and the integration of the laboratory user community. It is an important forum for discussion, evaluation and proposal of improvements to the research infrastructure and scientific tools available in the laboratory. It also represents an opportunity to exchange information on research being carried out in experimental stations of the LNLS.

The program of the meetings includes: presentations on applications of synchrotron light and associated instrumentation; oral or poster communications of experimental work carried out at LNLS or other synchrotron light laboratories; presentations and discussions on the project of beamlines and related research; reports on the progress of activities and laboratory perspectives.

Today, with the construction of the new synchrotron light source Sirius, the participation of the scientific community in RAU becomes essential. The meeting is the ideal time for presenting and discussing the scientific needs and expectations of the researchers on the new light source.
