Beamline Automation

The Beamline Automation group of the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), is responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions in electrical and electronic infrastructure, including the design and fabrication of automation panels and control racks for specialized equipment used in the Sirius beamlines, experimental stations, and support laboratories. In addition to collaborating with the automation, control, and mechanical infrastructure teams during project development, the group is fully responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of power supply and distribution systems for the beamlines, as well as data infrastructure—covering corporate, scientific, and industrial networks—from conception to commissioning. IEA also works on the development, assembly, and maintenance of electroelectronic systems requested by the beamlines and other LNLS engineering teams, providing level 2 technical support for all subsystems under its responsiblity.
