The Ariranha1 (Advanced Research on Instrumentation for Photon Beams) beamline will be dedicated to research and development of new instruments, such as optical, optomechanical, diagnostic, detector and sample environments for synchrotron research and similar areas. It will be equipped with flexible instruments that will allow the exploration of new techniques and methods, as well as testing developments by both in-house researchers and researchers from other institutions. It will have several versatile motion and goniometry stages available, which will also allow the development of new types of experiments proposed by the user community.
1The Ariranha beamline is part of the second phase of the Sirius project, which was included in the Growth Acceleration Program (Novo PAC) and will be funded by resources from the FNDCT/MCTI. The plan announced by the Federal Government foresees investments of R$ 800 million over the next four years for the second phase of the Sirius project. This includes the design and construction of ten new research stations, including technical and building infrastructure, in addition to the continuous optimization of electron accelerators.
