EMU LNLS/SIRIUS BEAMLINES HELIUM LIQUEFACTOR

Resource: Multi-User Equipment – FAPESP EMU-PMP 2023 Call

Details:

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) will make available to the external community the equipment [EMU helium liquefier of the LNLS/Sirius beamlines], aimed at allowing the efficient use of liquid helium efficiently in the LNLS beamlines /Sirius. This resource will be accessible to national and foreign researchers interested in carrying out research using synchrotron light techniques at the LNLS/Sirius beamlines to study materials under cryogenic conditions.

Operation mode:

The [LNLS/Sirius beamline helium liquefier EMU] is intended to enable the efficient use of liquid helium at the LNLS/Sirius beamlines via synchrotron light techniques to study materials at cryogenic temperatures. It is located in the experimental room of the Sirius accelerator building where the beamlines are also located and comprises an infrastructure to liquefy helium recovered during use on the beamlines.

Useful information:

Access for users: submissions via SAU Online to beamlines that allow experiments in cryogenic conditions

How to submit proposals: see the proposal submission guide

Details and techniques: access the LNLS website

Contact: visit the Condensed Matter and Materials Science (DMC) Division page
