The Automation and Systems Integration Group (AIS) is responsible for developing and implementing high-performance technological solutions for the control and automation of industrial and scientific equipment. Its focus is on optimizing processes and ensuring the operational safety of beamlines, support laboratories, and accelerators. The team is in charge of gathering and reviewing project requirements, including specifying sensors and actuators, as well as supporting the review of electrical schematics for control and automation systems. Likewise, the group handles the configuration and deployment of embedded systems, including hardware setup and integration with EPICS, to validate, commission, and monitor mechatronic, electrical and electronic infrastructure within the facility’s control network, ensuring safe remote operation. Additionally, the group is responsible for troubleshooting and providing operational support.
