Jatoba

The JATOBÁ Group is responsible for the management and operation of the JATOBÁ beamline of the synchrotron light source Sirius, at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS).

The JATOBÁ beamline will be dedicated to X-ray diffraction in structural materials. The beamline high-energy X-rays will have great penetration in any type of material, from millimeters, in materials containing lead, to centimeters, in materials such as steel. The technique of Pair Distribution Function (PDF), which will be available in this beamline, will allow the execution of structural investigation experiments of nanocrystalline and semi-crystalline materials such as soils, rocks, metals, ceramics and concrete, with atomic resolution.

Jatobá Beamline

The JATOBÁ beamline is being built to produce a high-energy, high-photon flux beam focused on micrometric dimensions and will be dedicated to the study of a wide range of materials using the full X-ray scattering technique.
