The Chemistry and Biology Laboratories (LQB) group is responsible for providing and managing the laboratory infrastructures of the Soft Matter and Biology Division (DMB), as well as providing training and technical support for users of the Sirius synchrotron light source, enabling them to work safely in the handling of chemical reagents, in biological experiments, and in the preparation and adaptation of samples for different experimental techniques.
Among the laboratories under the group’s responsibility are the Chemical Laboratory (LQ), for collective use, prepared to meet the needs of internal and external researchers, the Biological Samples Laboratory (LAB), dedicated to helping users prepare biological samples such as cells and tissues, the Cryo Laboratory (LCRIO), dedicated to preparing samples (mostly of biological origin) in cryogenic conditions, as well as the Nanobio Laboratory (LNB) dedicated to syntheses and studies that investigate the interaction between nanomaterials and biological systems.
