Sabiá

The SABIÁ Group is responsible for the management and operation of the SABIÁ beamline of the synchrotron light source Sirius, at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS).

The SABIÁ beamline is designed for absorption and soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy and photoemission microscopy. The beamline will make it possible to study the origin of magnetism in materials used in various applications, from recording media to magnets used in wind generators.

Sabiá Beamline

The SABIÁ (Soft X-ray ABsorption spectroscopy and ImAging) beam line operates in the soft X-rays region using undulators to provide polarization control and plane gratings for monochromatization. The main techniques available are X-rays absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM).
