Programs for Students

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) participates in the Student Programs maintained by the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). These programs are aimed at students with good academic performance, with the objective of training human resources for Science, Technology and Innovation. The procedures for registration of candidates are available on the website of each program.

SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Summer Scholarship Program, held annually, encourages young students with a vocation for scientific research and technological development to conduct a research project proposed by a CNPEM researcher. This program is exclusive for students enrolled in undergraduate courses in the areas of Exact and Earth Sciences (including Engineering), and Biological and Health Sciences of universities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

UNIFIED INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Unified Internship Program is aimed at creative and innovative young people, students from technical schools and universities, who are looking for new challenges, achievements, and development. The focus of the Program is the interns’ development through challenging activities and projects.

INSTITUTIONAL PROGRAM FOR SCIENTIFIC INITIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Institutional Program for Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC), funded by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), has as main objectives to develop critical thinking and awaken the scientific vocation among undergraduate students in different areas of knowledge.
